as part of the bfa animation production class at calarts, i was assigned to make a short piece in the style of ed emberley that we had to storyboard and then pitch to our professor, and then finally, animate and produce.
this assignment was made over the course of two weeks - one to conceptualize, storyboard and pitch, and the second to produce the content. it focuses on the roles that humans play to one another and to themselves, in comparison to the way that ants behave. the topic was inspired by a conversation that i had with zack villere.
the programs that i used to complete this project were photoshop, cinema 4D and after effects. i also created the music in logic pro 10, playing various instruments while watching the piece and matching visual cues to audio cues.
